I'm trying out twitter as a quick and easy way to keep this thing up to date. I did a ton of research on internet radio but there's no real way to do it legally without dedicating a ton of time and money. I could just fire up a server, but they really like to sue people whenever they get the chance. I've grown rather accustomed to living indoors. So here we are. It's not the way I would have liked it to be, but I'm hoping I can keep up with it this way, and in turn, keep the people coming back.

Brief Hiatus

OK. I've got to try and start getting back into this blog. I've gotten lots of positive feedback from the friends that I've talked to about it so I want to try and keep it alive. Its been incredibly hectic around here lately and does not show any signs of slowing down. It's just a matter of sitting down every once in a while and putting up some tracks. Also, I have been looking into setting up an internet radio station to keep the pile happening when I'm not. For today though, there is a song off the Xaphoon Jones Mixtape Volume 1. I'm typically not a huge fan of mash-ups but every now and then you get somethin' that works. I put up Theo's Apple Juice Break too cause it makes me laugh and it's the lead in. On a side note, while writing up this post it suddenly occured to me what the background music is on Theo's Apple Juice Break so what the heck, here's 4Hero with Les Fleur for a bonus track.

A great, great soul album that should be on everyone's ~~shelf~~ turntable. Candi Staton's Self-Titled. Several solid tracks with some old standards thrown in. This track is the most. The recording isn't the best so if you have an EQ load up the bass and mids, otherwise it doesn't have the overall power that I think it deserves.

Well, the site I use to store my music is now a 404. So for the time being everything is broken. I'll see if I can do something about it but it probably involves uploading all my files to another server and relinking all my posts... ugh... so for now let's just say it all disappeared. I'll keep you posted.

Morcheeba tends to be a bit more chill then this. I've not heard much of their stuff outside of this album but it does get into the rotation fairly often none the less. Nice melodies throughout.

Well to be more specific, a blast from my past... Around about nine years ago I put together an album of music I made on el computador. I think maybe half the tracks are still listenable. There is a bonus with this one in that a fellow from Toronto had found my stuff on garageband.com and used this very track in a short film. It's on YouTube and thus the image quality isn't exactly top notch but the film is pretty sweet none the less. Also, no art on this one because I've lost the files and wouldnt you know it I don't come up on google... lol. Enjoy.

Yeah, no post yesterday and nothing for today. The last two days I've had a couple of posts taken down courtesy of the DMCA. I'm thinking this may be due to my blog being hosted in the US. I'm looking into whether or not I can move to another host elsewhere to see if there's anything I can do. I'm guessing the Passion Pit post will get pulled tomorrow, we'll see. For the time being, starting tomorrow I'm going to go with mostly older stuff. The new music seems to be more closely monitored by the cease and desist'ers. So until tomorrow! By the way that Miike Snow album from the Animal post a while back is fantastic, especially Sylvia. Check it out!
